Can I put a hold on a piece?

Yes, you can! You can secure the piece for 7 days with a 25% deposit, taking it off our website and sales floor. If you decide not to purchase the item at the end of the 7 day period, your deposit converts to a store credit, which is valid for 5 years.

Are your prices negotiable?

We do not negotiate prices. We pride ourselves on pricing our pieces fairly and correctly. We have found our customers appreciate knowing that they do not need to haggle at The Jewelry Store.

Do you offer a warranty on your pieces?

Our jewelry is sold in as is condition. Our gemologists thoroughly research each piece, including testing metal fineness and gemstone carat weights, and we stand behind our jewelry descriptions. Jewelry, like all material, is susceptible to damage and requires preventative measures and maintenance. It is important to be aware of your jewelry while wearing it and to choose pieces that are appropriate for your lifestyle. We recommend removing all jewelry, especially rings, in situations when contact is expected. We will work closely with you to determine the best type of jewelry for you.

If your jewelry incurs damage, please bring it to the store. We'll take in the item, review the damage and possible cause with our jeweler, and contact you promptly with an estimate for the repair. If your piece came with an EGL or GIA diamond report, please bring it with you. We must check the diamond against the report when you drop off and pick up your jewelry.

Can you resize my ring?

In most cases, yes we can. Certain styles, such as diamond eternity bands or rings with patterns going all the way around, cannot be sized. All sizeable rings purchased with us come with a complimentary sizing and an adjustment, if needed. Bear in mind that once sized, the item is no longer returnable or exchangeable. If you're sizing a ring after purchase and it came with an EGL or GIA diamond report, it must be accompanied by the original report to be taken in by our jeweler.

Can you appraise my jewelry?

Yes, we offer complimentary appraisals. Appraisals take about 1-2 weeks to complete by our gemologist and she'll need to have the piece on hand during that time. If your piece came with an EGL or GIA diamond report, please bring it with you. We must check the diamond against the report when you drop off and pick up your jewelry. Check with your insurance company if you need an appraisal. For many pieces, a sales receipt will suffice.

Will you buy my jewelry?

Your jewelry will need to be appraised before we can make any sort of offer. Please call the store to make an appointment or to get more information.

Do you sell only antique jewelry?

In addition to antique jewelry (over 100 years old), we carry vintage (over 25 years old), estate, and new jewelry, as well as made to order one of a kind design pieces.

When do you get in new jewelry?

We are constantly getting new jewelry! The best way to see our newest arrivals is to follow us on Instagram or Facebook. Not on social media? Join our email list (link to sign up page) to see new arrivals, and be invited to store events. Are your diamonds graded?

For engagement rings, we provide GIA or EGL USA grading reports for center diamonds of 0.50 carats and over.

Are your diamonds conflict-free?

Most of our diamonds are old cut stones. Since they were mined and cut prior to the 1940s, you can rest assured that your purchase is not funding any current conflict. Our modern diamonds are from sources that state they trade conflict-free.
